St Laurence's Church, Long Eaton

At St Laurence’s there is a rich pattern of worship every day of the year, which forms the bedrock of our work and ministry. Everybody is welcome to come and join in, to pray quietly, or simply to sit and soak up the atmosphere in this church that has been a place of worship for many centuries.

Holy Trinity, Ilkeston

We are rooted in the catholic tradition of the Church of England; anchored to the faith of ages, our services are dignified, with a traditional liturgy, where we encounter the wonder of God. Do come and share in our worship – you will be made very welcome.

Our Parishes

We are two parishes in the Diocese of Derby united by our Anglo-Catholic faith; and serving our local communities as the Church of England in these places. Our parishes are fully committed to the life and work of the church in the diocese, and beyond.

Faith

The Church of England is a broad church and there are many expressions of faith to be found across its many churches. Here, we are committed to the catholic faith as the Church of England received it, an unbroken tradition from the time of the Apostles.

Worship

Worship at both our churches is centred on the Mass: the sacrament instituted by Christ at the Last Supper. It reflects the Catholic and formal tradition of the Church of England.

Mission

Our mission is to the people of the parishes that we serve, in this part of God’s kingdom, here in Erewash. We are here to administer the sacraments and to help and nurture those who turn to us.
